Privacy and cookies

This page explains what data is processed when you visit www.likethesocialgame.com, the website of Like – The Social Game (Articles 13 and 14 of EU Regulation 2016/679, the “GDPR”, and the 2021 cookie guidelines of the Italian data protection authority).

Data controller

The data controller is the Like – The Social Game team. For any question about your data, write to info@likethesocialgame.com.

Technical browsing data

Like every website, the server hosting the pages (Hostinger) logs some data about each visit for technical and security reasons: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser. This data is used only to run the site and protect it from abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6.1.f GDPR) and is deleted automatically after a limited period.

The site has no forms, accounts or newsletters: we do not collect your name, email or other personal data, unless you email us.

Technical cookies

The site stores in your browser (localStorage, key like-consent) only your choice in the cookie banner, so it is not shown again on every page. No consent is needed and it is not sent to anyone.

Statistics: Google Analytics (only with your consent)

If you click “Accept” in the banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to see, in aggregate, how many people visit the site and which pages they read. If you do not accept, Google Analytics is not loaded.

• Provider: Google Ireland Limited, processing the data on our behalf (data processor).
• Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR).
• Cookies: _ga and _ga_<ID>, which hold a random browser identifier and last up to 2 years.
• Data sent: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location (city or country). Google Analytics 4 does not store the full IP address.
• Transfers outside the EU: Google may process the data in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework that Google has joined.

You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings button at the bottom of every page: if you choose “No, thanks”, Google Analytics stops and the _ga cookies are deleted.

YouTube videos

Videos are shown as a preview: no data is sent to YouTube until you click the video. On click, the video loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode; from then on Google’s privacy policy applies.

Facebook

There are no Facebook “Like” buttons or widgets on the site, only plain links to our page. Facebook receives data only if you click a link and open its website.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format (Articles 15–22 GDPR) by writing to info@likethesocialgame.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority; in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
